04/25/2025 - The City of Gilmer is currently conducting fire hydrant testing and tank maintenance.  If you see discoloration in your water, it is from settlement in the lines. If you run your tap, and it does not clear up after a few minutes, please call us at 903-843-2552, option 0, and we will flush the main lines in your area. Chloride standards are still stable, and water is safe to drink. We have been in contact with TCEQ during this process to ensure your safety.
