Please be advised… We have hired a company to rebuild fire hydrants in Gilmer. They are starting tomorrow (4/15/2025) around 8:00 AM. The affected area is for all properties south of State Highway 154 W from R.E.A. Rd along FM 49 to Langford St (area circled in red). We will try to have water service back on as soon as possible, but properties will be out for at least 2 hours during the reconstruction. Thank you for your understanding while we work on these important safety system updates.

The tax rate will effectively be raised by 8% and will raise taxes for maintenance and operations on a $100,000 home by approximately $31.06.
